UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez is set to return to the Octagon November 19th in San Jose, California at UFC 138, according to a report filed by the LA Times.
The report also confirms that Junior Dos Santos will be the challenger for his belt.
Dos Santos is fresh off a superb performance against hard hitting Shane Carwin, almost finishing the fight with solid strikes at the end of round 1. He comes into this fight with an impressive 13-1 record, 7-0 in the UFC with solid performances against Roy Nelson, former title contender Gabriel Gonzaga and Mirko Filipovic.
Velasquez has not entered the Octagon since taking the belt in dramatic fashion from former champ Brock Lesnar with a first round TKO last October. Cain Velasquez has been sidelined after surgery to repair his rotator cuff which was torn in the bout against Lesnar. Returning in November will mean a solid year out of the octagon and several months without full training.
