Throws from over/under

One of the most common positions in grappling is the over/under.  Unfortunately, many BJJ athletes have a limited game from the clinch and the position becomes a stalling affair or a glorified Sumo match.

In reality the over/under is one of the best spots to hit a high amplitude throw.  This is true of both gi and no-gi grappling.

Here are two throws I’ve had great success with. Not only will these techniques get you into side control, they are big crowd pleasures!

These throws might look intimidating, but get your reps in and you’ll be hitting them in no time.
