The UFC announced late Friday evening that a featherweight championship match between current title holder Jose Aldo and contender Kenny Florian will take place as the co-main event for UFC 136 in Houston, TX.
Kenny Florian will be making just his second appearance in the UFC as a featherweight in his title contention bout. After going 11-4 over five impressive year as a lightweight, Florian made the drop to featherweight last month with an impressive win over Diego Nunes. This will be Florian’s third title fight as he hopes to capture his first belt in his UFC career.
UFC 136 is slowly becoming a stacked card surely to make for a packed house at the Toyota Center. Headlined by the much anticipated rubber match between lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard for the lightweight belt, it also has a few more exciting fights to make for an incredible event.
